Project Engineer

Job Description: Support engineering design and project execution efforts for custom structural and mechanical systems. You will coordinate with senior engineers, drafters, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Celtic Engineering’s high standards. This role requires both technical knowledge and organizational ability, bridging design efforts with real-world implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a project-based environment.

  • Familiarity with building materials such as steel, aluminum, and reinforced plastics.

  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools like MS Project.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • EIT certification preferred. PE license is a plus.

    Project Manager

    Job Description: Lead and oversee the full life cycle of engineering projects across themed entertainment, structural design, and mechanical systems. This role is responsible for managing scope, budget, timeline, and team performance, working directly with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

    • Minimum 7–10 years of experience managing engineering projects, preferably in the themed entertainment or construction industry.

    • Experience with structural and mechanical systems and multi-discipline coordination.

    • Proven success managing budgets over $1M and leading cross-functional teams.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit and SAP 2000 is a plus.

    • PMP certification preferred.

    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

      Senior Mechanical Engineer

      Job Description: Lead design and analysis of mechanical design components and systems associated with high performance ride simulators. Develop, plan, manage and support engineering proposals, budgets and project tasks. Lead and perform critical engineering.

      Skills/Requirements:

      • Degreed mechanical, aerospace or equivalent engineer
      • Professional Engineer State of FL
      • Minimum 8-10 years associated at all levels of design, analysis & manufacturing. Must include machine design, mechanisms, precision machining, weldments, structural, vibration and fatigue analysis, & GD&T based dimensional analysis. Must be proficient in SolidWorks v14, ANSYS Mechanical v16, MathCad v15, MS Project v2013, Excel and Powerpoint.

        Senior Structural Engineer

        This role is for an experienced structural engineer who can lead technical scopes with minimal oversight. You will lead as Engineer of Record (EOR) on projects, take responsibility for the detailed analysis and design of structural components and systems for facilities and nonbuilding structures, and guide project teams to technical excellence. A current Florida PE license is required; candidates eligible to obtain Florida licensure within 18 months will be considered.

        What You’ll Do:

        • Lead gravity and lateral system selection, layout, analysis, and design for structural projects, establishing applicable codes, loads, methods, and tools.
        • Apply expertise in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, with opportunities to work in materials such as FRP, aluminum, and stainless steel.
        • Provide technical leadership through mentorship, QA/QC reviews, and supervision of structural drawings, reports, and BIM models (Revit).
        • Oversee and document inspections, condition assessments, and construction administration activities, across all shifts as needed.
        • Perform and oversee structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D).
        • Demonstrate sound engineering judgment, creativity, and adaptability while meeting both client needs and professional obligations to public safety.
        • (Preferred but not required) Experience with seismic design, dynamic structures, and fatigue analysis.

        What You’ll Bring:

        • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required), with professional practice focused on structural engineering.
        • Master’s degree with a structural emphasis (preferred).
        • Strong experience applying IBC-style building codes and U.S. national standards.
        • Proficiency with commercial structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D).
        • Proficiency with BIM tools (Revit preferred).
        • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Florida preferred; ability to obtain within 12–18 months considered).
        • Strong technical judgment, problem-solving ability, and clear professional communication.
        • (Preferred but not required) Experience interpreting international codes and standards.

        Required experience:  Structural Steel Engineering : 9+ years of recent, full-time structural design and engineering experience.

          Structural Engineer II

          This role is for a structural engineer with several years of direct experience who is ready for greater independence in design, analysis, and fieldwork. You’ll manage portions of larger projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to complex solutions with opportunities to advance into senior technical or project leadership roles.

          What You’ll Do

          • Lead gravity and lateral system selection, layout, and detailed analysis and design, contributing to workflow planning and project delivery.
          • Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
          • Apply experience with steel and reinforced concrete while broadening skills with timber, masonry, aluminum, and stainless steel.
          • Develop creative design solutions, evaluate alternatives, and prepare/review calculations, drawings, reports, and BIM models (Revit).
          • Perform inspections and condition assessments of existing structures, across all shifts as needed, and document findings.
          • Support construction administration through site observation reports and coordination with project managers.
          • Perform QA/QC reviews and progressively increase responsibility toward leading as an EOR.

          What You’ll Bring

          • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
          • Master’s degree with a structural emphasis (preferred).
          • Familiarity with IBC-style codes and U.S. national standards.
          • Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D preferred).
          • Knowledge of BIM tools (Revit preferred).
          • Engineer Intern (EI) required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.
          • Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking, initiative, and clear communication.

          Required experience:  Structural Steel Engineering : 4+ years of recent, full-time structural design and engineering experience.
